Quadratic Formula

The Quadratic Formula finds the roots of a second order polynomial equation. The terms underneath the square root sign are refered to as the discriminate. If the discriminate is positive, there are two distinct real roots. If it is equal to zero there is only one root and if it is negative, then the roots are complex.
